My name is Tom, I am a young Victoria-based writer passionate about cinema and short stories. My goal with this website was to give myself reason to write everyday about the things I love. 

 

Hopefully after a while of doing this I can look back and see that I've progressed. Once I heard Paul Schrader on a podcast be recited the voiceover lines he wrote for Taxi Driver. He believed he'd write them better now. That is the goal, not that I think I could ever write anything as good as Taxi Driver, but to reread a review or short story I've written after sometime and get to see the evidence of my growth and get proof that my dedication has paid off.

Until then, everyday I get excited to watch new films, write new stories and delve deeper into whatever thing I want to in my deep dives. I hope other people come here not only to enjoy what I write but to start discussion about filmmaking or writing craft and get inspired to write for themselves.

For now new reviews come out by 5 P.M. on Friday (Australian Eastern Standard Time),  a new short story will come out the first of every month and deep dives will appear sporadically so keep coming back cause a new one could pop up anytime!
